DAVID HUPPE
Founder, General Manager
David has been serving the landscape industry and his community for over 30 years. Since graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Environmental Horticulture, David has attained various certifications and licenses that demonstrate a wealth of knowledge and expertise. He founded True North Landscapes in 2002, with a desire to be environmentally responsible and build a passionate team of professionals to deliver outstanding results to their clients.
David has served on numerous committees with the CLCA (California Landscape Contractors Association) ascending to first vice president of the local chapter. He has also served on committees with ALCA (Associated Landscape Contractors of America), NCLTC (Northern California Turf + Landscape Council) and has been a judge for the Certified Landscape Technician certification program.
Additionally, he’s served on the City of Santa Rosa Street Tree Committee, reviewing and amending the city's street tree selection and maintenance parameters. He has also been appointed by the Windsor Town Council to the Tree Protection Ordinance Committee, and served as Advising Arborist.
David has a passion for the outdoors, and it shows in his athletic prowess. He loves trail running, mountain biking, and cycling. You’ll also find him competing in various races such as Levi’s GranFondo, and the Santa Rosa Ironman. It’s no wonder he’s passionate about beautifying and conserving the great outdoors for everyone to enjoy.
SCOTT ISSEL
Branch Manager
Scott began a landscape maintenance company and completed his AA Science Degree, with emphasis in horticulture and chemistry at SRJC. After selling his company, Scott worked in wholesale, managing a major irrigation supplier. Scott has been on the Board of Directors of the Northern California Turf and Landscape Counsel and Vice President of the Northern California Turf and Landscape Counsel.

DOUG GORDON
Account Manager
With over 29 years of landscaping experience and 20 years as an Account Manager, Doug has extensive irrigation experience and a passion for customer service, focusing on our commitment to excellence in the industry. Doug enjoys nature by hiking throughout Sonoma County. CLCA Water Manager (CWM), Qualified Applicator License (QAC) & Reclaimed Water Supervisor Certification (NMWP).
GEORGE FLORES
Account Manager
George has cross trained in the landscape industry for over 25 years. While learning to give outstanding Customer Service, he also learned all aspects of General Maintenance, Enhancement, and Irrigation during his career. With his love for the outdoors, his current focus is Irrigation and Pest Control. Certified Landscape Technician-Exterior Irrigation (CLT) & Qualified Applicators Certificate (QAC).

Jim has over 34 years of landscaping experience and brings an assortment of landscaping knowledge with him. His love of the outdoors paired with his vast industry knowledge make him a valuable member of our Sonoma/Marin team.

Stephanie has been in the landscape industry for 34 years. Her experience as an underground utilities project manager, landscape enhancement manager, and Certified Landscape Technician-Exterior Irrigation (CLT) have made her a truly remarkable account manager. Her continuous attention to building and fostering exceptional client relationships has added to the growth of our company. Her love for the outdoors and her passion for the industry shines through in everything she does.

Rosie has a diverse background in Human Resources with Nordstrom for 8 years. She lived in Europe and spent 14 years as a professional PGA Tour Caddie where she started the first Women on tour organization “Life on Tour”. Upon returning to the United States to Northern California she managed her family’s Italian restaurant for 13 years focusing on staffing, banquets and customer satisfaction. Bringing such a diverse background to True North has created an opportunity for True North to grow in the Industry.
